Your IP address is the unique address of your computer which is automatically provided to other computers when your web browser or email application requests a web page or email from those computers on the Internet. We also collect information about how you use the Service, including information about the features you use and where you go on the Service.
(c) Information about you as a YouSteps member may be supplemented with additional information, including publicly-available information and information from other companies.
We use this information to help us make the Website more useful to visitors, to learn about the number of visitors to the Website and the type of technology which our visitors use. We may compile and report aggregate statistics about our visitors in terms of numbers, traffic patterns and related site information. The business who provide us with technology infrastructure and hosting services for the Website (the “Technology Licensor”), stores User’s credit card information in order for the Technology Licensor to process your payments to the Website or maintain your member’s subscription to the Website, as applicable. The Technology Licensor’s on-demand e-payment integration solution is reviewed, audited, and certified to be compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Furthermore, the Technology Licensor guarantees that it will continue to follow PCI DSS requirements and adhere to best practices for security.
2. What we do with the information we gather
We use this information in order to operate the Service and improve your experience.
(a) We will display your personally identifiable information on your profile according to the preferences you set. We will use your name so that you are recognisable on our database and so that we can personalize your experience. We will use your email address to contact you from time to time and may also use it for security reasons to confirm that you are who you say you are.
(b) We may use information collected automatically, such as your IP address, information stored via cookies, described in more detail below, and information about how you use the Service to develop statistics and aggregate information about the number of people who visit the Service and to customise YouSteps’s content, layout and the Service. We may share this information with third parties to help us improve the Service and better serve our users.
(c) We may provide your personally identifiable information and the data generated by cookies, described in more detail below, and the aggregate information to the vendors and Service agencies that we may engage to assist us in providing the Service to you. (e) Personally identifiable information collected in connection with your use of the Service may be transferred to and stored at a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) where YouSteps or its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries or Service providers maintain facilities. By using the Service, you expressly agree to any such transfer of the personally identifiable information you provide YouSteps. By publicly posting information on the Service, you also certify that your posting conforms with all local data protection laws. Please be aware that countries which are outside the European Economic Area may not offer the same level of data protection as Ireland although we will take steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
